It is an honor to be entrusted as a speaker at the Training of Trainers (ToT) for the Capstone Design course organized by the Faculty of Geological Engineering, Universitas Padjadjaran.
“Capstone design aims to provide engineering practice experience and main design project experience that integrates engineering standards and various realistic constraints, based on the knowledge and skills acquired from previous coursework.”
The fundamental goals and criteria for implementing design tasks can be clarified in the following points:
- Students must have the ability to design civil engineering systems and infrastructure according to needs, considering various constraints such as economic, environmental, health, and safety issues.
- Students study methods and standards of construction design as well as other complex technical aspects.
- Students learn engineering design principles and gain experience in their integrated application.
- Students study strategies to work effectively and efficiently in teams.
